HOUSE AT JUNIPER COURT

Designed for a young couple just beginning their family, this home has an air of sculptural playfulness. The roof forms of the house are framed in curved laminated beams that resemble large ocean waves. Smooth turned logs act as massive posts to support the curved ceilings and together with the beams, provide a clear expression of structure. The interiors are designed to create the feel of a warm, contemporary loft. With walls of glass opening to the rolling foothill views and curving ribs overhead, the roof form evokes the hull of a boat.
